NHS Grampian has reached an organ donation high - with four in 10 people signed up to the register.

A total of 40.2% of residents in the health board area are now registered on the donor list.

Four in ten people in Grampian have signed up to the NHS organ donor register, according to new figures.

Over the last five years the percentage of north-east residents on the register has risen from 30% in 2007, to 40% this year.
